Data Engineer
Data Engineers are responsible for developing, optimizing and standardizing dashboards/new projects which add value to our company. Our Data Engineercarry a unique position whereby they are involved in all aspects of the dashboard development process from gathering requirements, preparing data to final reporting using Data Visualization techniques or working with Front-End developers.

Description
- Work with stakeholders to identify reporting needs, metrics and systems.
- Support the modeling and creation of datasets using Python and/or SQL to be then used for self-service dashboard reports. Have deep knowledge of all the datasets inside the data lake to be able to provide guidance to other engineers and/or stakeholders
- Streamline data preparation and processes for maximum automation and efficiency whilst supporting environment migrations where required
- Analyze, organize, segment and disseminate raw or unprocessed data based on business needs
- Be the key anchor for data extraction, preparation and hosting processes
- Create master data files from disparate data sources by building data pipeline
- Develop and test architecture for data extractionProvide continuous connectivity to a master data source and access to refreshed data
- Ensure data quality and reliability
- Data expert for datasets
Profile
- 3 years of hands-on data engineering experience
- Advanced SQL RDBMS design and query building skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, etc.)
- Sound knowledge of ETL practices.
- Exposure to SAP ERP system, Salesforce.com, etc.
- Coding experience Python
- Unix or other shell scripting, and exposure to job scheduling software such as Control-M
- Visualization tool experience like with Tableau or Power BI
- Attention to detail and logical based thinking in building, testing, and reviewing data pipelines containing multi-disciplinary information
- Commitment to build using established coding and naming standards
- Strong problem solver who can invent new techniques and approaches if necessary
We value:
- Data Engineering & AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience in business domains - supply chain, pricing, sales & marketing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in AWS is strongly preferred
- Experience profiling, manipulating, and merging massive data set using Big Data technologies, preferably from AWS, Google, Microsoft, or Cloudera
