For our client, a new investor from Wrocław, we are looking for people interested in the position of Engineering Lead (Data).
Your new role
We are looking for a senior, seasoned developer with extensive experience in data engineering as well as machine learning. We’re looking for a true passionate individual that can easily learn new technologies and languages, and is well rounded in the current technology ecosystem and wide variety of domains like software development, machine learning, cloud solutions etc. Someone that can quickly solve technical problems, loves challenges, and has experience leading other technical individuals helping them make great decisions, continuously improve and focus on delivering maximum value for our customers. In this role, you will be a paragon of good development practices, making sure the team grows and abides to only the best standards of the industry. You will challenge the status quo and restlessly look for ways to develop software in better way, fostering culture of smart failure and fast feedback.
Other responsibilities:
• Contributing in all aspects of software engineering including design, testing, implementation, deployment, and support.
• Collaborating with Site Engineering Lead and Technical Product Owners to deliver world-class solutions.
• Problem solving across multiple disciplines including API development, data engineering, machine learning, and cloud.
• Reviewing multiple applications requirements; analyzing technical specifications of any new applications
What you'll need to succeed
Must haves :
• 7+ years relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in architecting enterprise applications handling data and insights (Data streaming, Data Lakes, Analytics etc.), preferably based on Hadoop
• Solid development experience delivering enterprise solutions in either Java / Python / Scala
• Experience with data streaming solutions like Apache Spark, and event systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) as well as ELK stack (Elastic, Kibana, Logstash)
• Strong experience in working with databases – RDBMS and / or NoSQL (Mongo / Couch / Cassandra)
• Working day to day experience in at least one cloud platform : AWS / Azure / GCP and containers (docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Great interpersonal skills and experience coaching technical people • Solid experience with Continuous Integration – Jenkins, CircleCI etc.
Nice to have:
• Experience leading small+ teams
• Exposure to frontend frameworks – preferably ReactJS, Redux, or Angular is a plus
• Good sense of microservices architecture is a plus
• Good knowledge of data visualization solutions (QlickView, Tableau) is a plus
