For our Client, an international company, we are looking for experienced, motivated and ambitious Candidate for the position of Controller for UK & Nordics.
You will be responsible for all controllership related activities for the region, making sure all financial compliance activities take place timely, completely and correctly according to IFRS and local accounting standards. You will report to Group Controller and lead team of two.
This role provides periodical financial accounting and reporting as well as monthly finance reporting (month-end close). You will support all management across the Region and HQ by providing accounting guidance both per IFRS and local GAAP over deals and current operations (acquisitions, integrations, alternative financing – finance leases/SPV, equity injections, mergers, liquidations of entities, business valuations, IFRS, Inventory, etc.). You will be dedicated to managing the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with local auditors. You will also support regional Finance Manager for all accounting matters. As a Controller you will make sure key compliance activities are correctly performed Account Reconciliation’s process Assess impact of new accounting changes for local GAAPSupport acquisitions execution meetings & integrations ad hoc meetings National Statistics Support Internal Audit by performing some branch audits. Person on this position will be also responsible for preparing and reviewing Statutory to IFRS reconciliation/analysis Review for entities under responsibility all statutory to IFRS reconciliation. You will be engaged in managing the assistance to tax restructuring and tax audits as well as ad hoc projects and lean activities support key finance projects lean processes – challenging the status quo and implementing improvements. Our Client would like you to develop, coach and train direct reports and to travel periodically (25%).
To be successful in this role you will have to have at least 5 years’ experience at similar position in multinational company or at least 3 years’ experience in Big4 company (Consultant/Senior Consultant level), Master Degree in Finance and fluent English (C1). What is crucial for the position is IFRS/GAAP standards knowledge as well as advanced Excel. All the professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA) will be highly appreciated. If you are able to innovate and create new ways of doing things, learn on the fly and see perspective, this position is for you. We are looking for Candidate with excellent analytical, listening and communication skills who has a managerial courage to manage and measure work.
