My Client is a wholly owned subsidiary in the Netherlands, the category and market leader in Europe in gift-wrap, gift packaging and related categories. The Client employs around 150 people, working in international sales, product development, sourcing, shared services, and our manufacturing and warehousing facilities.
The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing all major accounts and prospect in the CEE region, expanding sales and actively pursuing new business opportunities. By proactively planning commercial activities and professionally advising customers you are able to offer and sell the right solutions, leading to a positive development of turnover and margin in your region. Your key contacts are mostly buyers and business unit managers of larger retail organizations and wholesalers servicing retail organizations. You closely follow trends and market developments in retail and adjust your plans accordingly. You will work closely with other European sales colleagues and support staff in the Netherlands and Poland. You report directly to the Managing Director in Poland.
The Commercial Manager CEE will be based in Poland.
In response to the Client's growth and business potential in the Central European markets, we are looking to hire a dedicated Commercial Manager for PL/CZ/SK/HU and the Baltics. Together with the Managing Director and his team in Zgorzelec, Poland and in close cooperation with the head office in the Netherlands, the Commercial Manager CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) will make a valuable contribution to the successful development of the market position in the Central and Eastern European countries.
Key requirements
The key requirements for the Commercial Manager’s role include:
· Being a business partner for retail customers, translating consumer behaviour, product trends and customer requirements to successful commercial propositions and concepts
· Being a deal driven, results-oriented solution thinker
· Being a bold and creative negotiator
· Having sales experience in retail (preferably with seasonal products)
· Having strong analytical skills, combined with a masters or bachelors degree in marketing and sales, business administration or another relevant specialization
· Proficiency in written and spoken Polish and English (mastering more languages is an advantage)
