Commercial Finance Manager

As Commercial Decision Support, you will be accountable for providing consistent and strategic financial performance analysis and business partner support to the Polish Commercial Team (Sales Leadership, Customer Marketing, Revenue Growth Management), thus driving a culture of performance across the business.

Our Client is one of the leaders in FMCG sector worldwide. We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Commercial Finance Manager. The role would support Regional Finance Manager and will lead Finance Business Partnering team. Ideal candidate has strong commercial and business acumen as well as business partnering approach.

Description

• Provide timely analysis on top line performance (Sales and pricing), promotional activity analysis ROI and customer/Country/CBU Profit & Loss (P&L)
• Support commercial teams with management/control of pricing, discounts, and trade spend opportunities and effectiveness
• Lead the financial budgeting and planning process for the commercial team, ensuring that pricing, discount and A&P/Trade spends are reflected accurately and are executed according to plan
• Identify, evaluate, and communicate risks and opportunities to the business
• Ensure the continuous flow of financial information and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
• Continuously look to improve and simplify our processes as they relate to the planning, reporting and performance measurements of our brands and how we use our supporting systems and tools
• Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external customers
• Provide expertise to Regional / Hub Commercial Teams on all financial aspects of the Commercial plans
• Provide stewardship of the Financial Commercial strategy as executed within the Region / Hubs within your geography
• Provide execution and financial analysis of the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process
• Build a sense of community across Hub and Country Finance teams

Profile

• Strong track record of performance and delivery within Finance in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG enviroment, with multiple years of delivery in a managerial role)
• Proven ability to work seamlessly within a matrix organisation
• Understanding of commercial activities and plans
• Solid experience of managing a P&L, forecasting, ROI calculations, Excise & Duty impacts, risk management, A&P management, price structures and financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with ambiguity, able to take complex ideas and summarise into concise insights and recommendations
• Effective communication skills, able to influence comfortably with senior leaders and motivate change
• Able to think strategically and understand the business and Category drivers well
• Able to conduct ongoing environmental assessments and forecasts emphasizing changes in the external, internal & competitive environment
• Proven business acumen and decision-making skills
• High-energy with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement
• Ability to lead a multidiscipline team and multifunction project teams
• Process focused with an understanding of end to end business processes and their financial impacts
• Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
