Cloud Technology Onboarding Engineer

The successful candidate will perform hands-on engineering tasks for Azure based cloud service solutions, Microservice integration, API orchestration, Hybrid workflow automation between different platforms using tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell automations, JSON etc..

The A&T Application Technology Onboarding team within Infrastructure & Security Engineering is responsible for the evaluation, design and integration of solutions and tooling to address the core functional requirements to provide automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automations in the Cloud.

You'll be working within our team based in Poland and report into the Application Technology Onboarding team lead. As a Technology Onboarding Engineer, you will be instrumental in enabling Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices across the globe and in designing and building solutions and where possible, automate procedures. You will be working with stakeholders on a daily basis and must be comfortable to lead, collaborate and drive results.

The wider A&T teams are located in UK, Switzerland and Poland.

Responsibilities will include, but are not exclusive to:

• Develop bank wide solutions using Azure services
• Build automated solutions to service stakeholders
• Engineer (Json, PowerShell) a full Azure DEVOPS pipeline approach with tools, orchestration and deployment
• Resolution of critical emails / issues of client on Azure
• Skills standardization, automation general platform management across Azure services
• Good understanding of Cloud security, policies, tools and compliance
• Development skills for use with creation / enhancement of queries, ARM templates, JSON, programming languages to interface with various API's and miscellaneous scripting languages e.g. Python and PowerShell
• Adopt / embrace / work with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS / SaaS)
• Develop / enhance management interfaces using native tooling and languages (i.e. for Log Analytics etc.)

Required Qualification, Skills & Knowledge

• hands on IT application development experience in a DevOps environment, including a background of working within a large organization
• Well experienced with engineering on Azure (CLI / API / CmdLets)
• proven track record of delivering and supporting complex IT solutions involving vendor products and Cloud integrations
• Programming in Azure / Microsoft capable languages
• Understanding of Active Directory / DHCP / DNS
• understanding of Service Management, CMDB and inventory best-practice
• Understanding of System Monitoring & Management
• Strong work ethic, with a passion to determine root cause of problems/issues
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

• Knowledge of Cloud (SaaS, IaaS and PaaS) solutions is a plus; extensive partner/vendor management experience is also welcomed.
