Our client is an international market-leading company. To strengthen their operations in Poland we are seeking to recruit ambitious candidate for the position of Chief Accountant.

The role is responsible for the efficient and effective managing of the team and day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including record maintenance, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, tax preparation and process improvement management.

- Supervise all accounting processes within the company
- Daily responsibility for accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and relevant external reporting
- Prepare financial statements as well as tax and GUS declarations
- Liaise with third-parties (social security authorities, tax authorities, vendors, clients)
- Work closely with auditors for year-end audits
- Be an active member of the finance management team
- Lead, coach and develop the accounting team
Profile
University degree in accounting or finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) will be an added value
- Minimum 5 years relevant finance experience in International organization, preferably in FMCG/RETAIL sector
- Profound knowledge of AP, AR and GL process
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, Polish Accounting Standards and local tax regulations
- Very good MS Excel knowledge is a must
- Very good English is a must
- Experience in process improvement,
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking
- Pro-active, open-minded person
