On behalf of international company from financial sector we are currently looking experienced Candidates for the position of Chief Accountant.
Location: Łódź.
The person on this role is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. Chief Accountant will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. On this position your responsibilities will include: full scope of financial and cost accounting activities (eg. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.), day to day finance and accounts operations, perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts, preparing tax declarations, reporting to financial institution (NBP, GUS, US etc.), timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow, management reporting for submission to CFO, developing and maintaining internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up, supporting CFO in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy, performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed, assisting external and internal auditors, cooperation with regulatory authorities, monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
We are looking for an experienced Candidate (min. 5-7 years of experience in audit or accounting area), Master degree in finance and accounting (or similar), managerial experience (at least 2-3 years) and very good English language skills. We will consider Candidates with experience from financial institutions (from Chief Accountant positions), from Big4 experience (accounting or audit area) and from other international organizations.
