For our location in Gdansk we are looking for a CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (m/f/d)
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Polish Accounting Standards for statutory purposes and in accordance with IFRS for group reporting purposes.
- Responsible for the Financial Accounting, including monthly group reporting and annual statutory reporting
- Lead monthly and annual closing process based on the group closing schedule
- Initiates activities for operational cost reduction
- Support in implementation and application of corporate policies in accounting area
- Responsible for filling VAT and Corporate Tax declarations
- Measurement of effectiveness and optimization of accounting processes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a dynamic environment (ideally service industry)
- University Degree, ideally in accounting/finance area
- Proficient in business English
- Experience in end-to-end accounting process
- Good knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards and local tax regulations
- Experience in financial reporting, including tax and statutory reporting
- Professional qualifications (Charted Accountant, ACCA, CIMA) will be an added value
- Knowledge MS Office at advanced level
- Good time management skills and the proven ability to meet short deadlines
- Organized with attention to details
