Our Client is an international cosmetics production company with well-recognised brand. Currently, due to the development of the EMEA purchasing team located in Warsaw we are looking for a Category Manager (Logistics).
Your new role
- To lead regional sourcing initiatives, develop category sourcing strategies to be approved as per the approval process, while ensuring that the procurement of goods & services for EMEA region (34 markets) meet business requirements and are purchased in an efficient, professional and cost effective and compliant manner in order to create and sustain a competitive advantage, thereby contributing to the maximization of company profitability.
- Developing improved local and regional sourcing strategies for approval by the Category Sourcing Leader.
- Lead cross-category commodity teams to achieve service cost reduction targets, while maintaining supply reliability and delivery of the required project plan.
- Ensuring timely negotiation of sourcing agreements within agreed delegation of authorities.
- Responsible for the supplier management process, supplier selection, supplier rating, supplier development, supplier reduction and supplier performance evaluation.
- Evaluating supplier capabilities, resolving any performance or contract concerns and advising on improvements to ensure service level is maintained.
What you'll need to succeed
- University Degree in a related discipline.
- Min. 4 years professional experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
- Management (Logistics area - preferred) - minimum 2 years at management level.
- Advanced problem solving and decision making abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience of measuring performance and providing feedback.
- Excellent knowledge of the logistics category and very good understanding of procurement best practice.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Very good presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of e - procurement processes and systems (e. g. Ariba, TiContract, SciQuest).
- Collaborative cross functional team work coupled with strong Project Management and influencing skills.
- Very good English skills.
