The site in Chrzanów manufactures rear and front lamps for passenger cars. The plant has a fully equipped measurement laboratory with a unique photometric testing tunnel. This site cooperates with Valeo Research and Development Centers across Europe working on new projects.
CAD Engineer in Development Center
Location: ChrzanówAs a result of growth of our organization, Valeo Lighting Systems is currently opening new Development Center in Chrzanów.
In Chrzanów Site we focus on developing and manufacturing lighting systems for passenger cars. These products have a high level of technology content such as LED, electronics, optics as well as a very attractive styling.The main manufacturing processes such as metallization, assembly and plastic injection including multicomponent and multi-color injections are highly advanced. Localization: Valeo Lighting Systems, Chrzanów near Krakow
Job profile:
- Define studies or pre-studies in CAD;
- Design part/component relative to specifications given by Product technical Leaders/Design Leaders, and according to internal guidelines (design rules, manufacturability, mechanical/thermal constraints, style)
- Responsible of the good application of Valeo standards, regulations rules, CAD internal methodology, design guidelines, CAD quality rules, checklists and design quality control.
- Responsible of lead-time/costs of tasks (Efficiency and timing follow-up) by respecting projects milestones/dead line, and CAD engineers/operators follow-up.
- Validate and follow-up of all CAD data concerning component inside PDM/PLM systems;
- Design Mechanical Validation by simple FEA tools integrated in CAD software.
The ideal Candidate for this role will:
- Have an engineer’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Have a knowledge of plastic parts design, injection moulding process;
- At least 2 years of experience in product design;
- Have a proficient knowledge of CAD software, preferably Catia v5;
- Have a fluent English, other language will be an asset;
- Be a strong communicator and passionate about achieving the right solution for every customer;
- Be able to manage a challenging and varied tasks and assist team members where required.
