Our client is a professional Chemicals and FMCG organization, based in Netherlands.
This company is a worldwide well known Chemical Multinational in the Nijmegen area in the Netherlands, which is responsible for the engineering and production of a wide range of chemical products. With more than 8000 motivated specialists all over the world the company aims to produce high-quality products for its clients.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the result of movements within the company a need for Plant Manager for the production plant in the Nijmegen area has been developed. The company offers the opportunity to grow in the company culture. The company is looking for a manager with significant experience in a business/commercial environment, BUT also for a real people manager with well developed influencing skills. You are a hands-on leader that also focuses on the individual development of your direct reports and engineers. If you also have the capability to efficiently link operations to commercialisation you might be the person they are looking for. As a Plant Manager you have 6 direct reports and a total of 240 fte's working in the plant and as a Plant Manager you will also have PNL responsibility. Closely working together you manage the efficient continuation of the whole plant by working on several projects at once, such as reducing production complexity and production efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will directly report to the Operations Director EMEA
- Coordinate your managing colleagues of the Quality, Safety, Operations, Maintenance and Operations departments
- Optimize plant operations, focusing on Continuous Improvement, CAPEX and Cost Reduction
- Communicate closely with higher management to improve overall company performance
- Key aim is to influence people and to focus on their development and performance
- You will also focus on linking operations to commercialization
- Work on multiple projects at once, such as reducing production complexity and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Chemical Engineering
- 8-16 years of experience in Pharma/Chemical/Food/FMCG environment (Pharma/Chemical is a pre)
- Well develop influencing and communication skills
- Good knowledge of business and commercialization
- Fluent in Dutch and English
