Role Description

Business Manager Pharma & Diagnostics

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the Marketing & Sales Department incl. budget (5 FTE’s)
- Establish and implement the business strategy, commit for an ambitious business plan and monitor its execution
- Bring new opportunities to a concrete development and drive sales performance
- Develop, maintain and expand relationships and business volume with relevant key customers
- Define a sustainable product portfolio by driving product innovation in collaboration with R&D
- Define and implement performance indicators
- Follow market dynamics and trends, enhance market presence
- Maintain a relevant, multidisciplinary industry network for identifying industry needs, for establishing partnerships/alliances and for creating countable competitive advantage
- Member of the Management Team.
- Expected to significantly contribute to collaboratively shaping the branch's future orientation and result

Requirements

- Academic degree preferably with a MSc or PhD in natural science (pharm., biol., chem. or med.)
- 12+ years in the diagnostic or (bio)-pharmaceutical industry, preferably in M&S / commercial or business development functions
- Ability to initiate, develop and maintain privileged relationships with customer representatives at decision and upper management level
- Experience in identifying, exploring and realising business opportunities along the strategic orientation of the company
- Capacity to handle and facilitate business planning at all dimensions and levels (strategic multi-year to daily actions)
- Commercial excellence, leadership skills, team player, hands on, strategic and out-of-the-box thinking
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Conceptual and efficient working style, good planning and organisation skills
- Post graduate degree in business management preferred
