We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Business Data Analyst
Location: Kraków
You will join a new Krakow-based team of 6 – Finance Liquidity IT Team which, in close collaboration with Product Owner, will take the ownership over the development and support process of a key regulatory system. It’s used to manage the capital of the company.
The Platform processes vast amount of financial market trade transactions, feeds and events throughout the investment bank and consolidates them onto Big Data architecture. It’s used by global teams of 500 Finance Controllers and Liquidity Managers, therein 180 collocated in Krakow office.
The project is challenging not only from the engineering point, as it aims to consolidate data from complex various sources into one platform, but it also requires to acquire in-depth banking domain knowledge.
Key Accountabilities:
Modelling data into a new Big Data platform and producing extracts for Finance and Regulatory Reporting systems
Writing data mapping specifications
Collaborating closely with Finance Change, upstream providers and downstream data consumers to ensure data requirements are fully understood and expectations are met
Ensuring that defects, data quality and data modelling issues are quickly resolved
Adhering to architecture principles and data modelling standards
Seeks opportunities to document, standardise and automate processes
Requirements:
Finance background with broad knowledge of financial instruments, such as: OTCs, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Securities Financing Transactions inc. Repos and Stock Borrow Lending, ETDs, FX, and Equities
Experience in both writing and interpreting SQL
Experience of an Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery environment
Not required but desired:
Previous experience of working on Big Data (e.g. Hadoop, Hdfs, Spark)
BDD experience
