BI Service Specialist
Location: Poznań
Job type: Contract B2B
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, process, and subject matter expertise for the BI service area including Problem Management, 2nd /3rd Level application support and expert Technical Project consultancy,
- Deliver world-class IT Service management, managing Risk, Quality, Configuration and full application lifecycle management of these IT assets,
- Apply global process standards & techniques, e.g. ITIL and Lean Six Sigma, to solve incidents and problems and to ensure continuous improvement,
- Actively participate in Service Support activity by partnering with our offshore partners,
- Contribute to the development of projects (both Business and IT) as a Technical Authority and Service Application Lead,
- Execute successful Service Transition, in collaboration with project teams; ensure development meets quality & handover criteria,
- Ensure Reliability of the service; Ensure Compliance with company policies & Guidelines (e.g. Audit Compliance, Risk Management, Change Control).
- Experience with some or all of the application & development platforms used for the BI/DW Solution landscape: RDBMS: Oracle, ETL / Data Integration: IBM DataStage, Analytics / Reporting: SAP BI and IBM Cognos,
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing (BI / DW) technical & conceptual aspects,
- Experience of key IT Service Management processes – Incident / Request / Problem / Change / Configuration Management,
- Strong Root Cause Analysis skills for Problem Management and Self-directed, self-motivated and pro-active,
- Strong verbal & written English communication skills,
- Awareness of Business Analytics / Intelligence best practice for system development, implementation and maintenance / performance tuning,
- Ability to understand complex business processes supported and the interfaces to other systems,
- ITIL Foundation certification / basic knowledge of ITIL based service management practices,
- Experience working in Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry and experience of Service Improvement Techniques.
