THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Netherlands.

This company is a producer of bakery ingredients and bakery products, aimed at the B2B as well as the B2C markets. They have existed for a long time, but have grown rapidly over the past years. In order to keep up with the competition, they are looking for R&D managers with specific experience, to be of added value from day one.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As bakery technologist, you are responsible for the research and development of new products. You perform New Product Development from scratch, and for this you have experience with and insight into how ingredients function. Experience with different flour types, yeast and risen dough is a big plus in this field. Besides this, your interest in or background in the culinary business allows you to determine what is well-flavored and what not. Working within a small team, you will then be responsible for your own products and projects. You level with colleagues abroad and drive forward the innovation!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• New Product Development
• Upscaling lab trials to the industrial scale
• Supervising trial runs
• Supervising production lines - adjusting and correcting where necessary
• Reporting to R&D Head
• Communicating with R&D peers abroad to level the NPD field

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor, preferably Master of Science / Food technology / Biochemistry
• 5+ years of R&D experience
• Experience on an industrial production site
• Experience in the bakery/confectionary sector
• Fluent Dutch and English
• Open to critique, creative, flexible, strong independent worker
