THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Chemicals and Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.

This client is an international organisation specialising in the sales of healthy food ingredients. Their ingredients are patented additives in the oils and fats sector, which are being sold to international key clients. Long-term relationships are most important in this narrow sector.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Sales Manager, you will be working independently. With one other sales colleague, you divide the European and Asian markets and focus on key clients. Of course, new business is part of your responsibilities. However, in a market as narrow as health additives, it is important to build lasting relationships and stay in touch with the known actors. For this, you develop an understanding of functional ingredients and know how to cross-sell and convey the possibilities to your clients. You do not lead a team - instead, you work independently and work in as broad of a market as you can handle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• International travel through Europe (40%)
• Account management
• New business development
• Cross-selling
• Setting your own action plan and sticking to it
• Reporting to the Director in the US

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor level study
• 5+ years of sales experience
• B2B Food sales experience
• Experience with oils/fats preferred
• Willing to travel
• Independent, self-starting work ethic
• Capable of being on site in North Amsterdam 3/4 days a week
