Associate Sourcing Manager

This position will manage commodity categories - primarily the categories of stamping, machined parts (milling, tuning, grinding, cutting, etc), plastic injection molding.

Our Client is a Global production group, which is a leader in its industry. In connection with further development plans of the local plant the Company is currently looking for a person for the position of Associate Sourcing Manager.

Description

• Identify with internal stakeholders (product management, marketing, engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements and develop & execute commodity playbook strategies
• Accountability for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within assigned commodity family
• Responsibility for management of suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process and accountable for managing supplier performance via the supplier scorecards and established KPIs. As part of the commodity strategy, will manage the supply risk for their commodity categories to the various plant operations and businesses
• Accountability for reporting and managing commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery
• Provide daily leadership and management and support including developing and managing their performance and development objectives
• Lead supplier relationships for assigned commodities in the division
• Lead commodity strategy development and execution for assigned commodities
• Drive supplier performance metrics for the assigned commodities, including cost productivity, supplier quality, supplier risk
• Lead the negotiations with suppliers to execute a Supply Agreement; Prepare the analysis for negotiations
• Adhere to compliance requirements when executing Supply Agreements
• Lead quarterly supplier reviews including scheduling reviews, collecting and validating supplier performance metrics, survey plants and stakeholders
• Lead the forecasting and reporting of inflation and inflation management projects
• Prepare and conduct solicitations (RFI's, RFQ's) for and execute against high-dollar, high-risk, complex needs to support the commodity strategy
• Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smarter supplier relationships and more efficient supply chain processes
• Update internal metrics for regular Quarterly Commodity Reviews including productivity, inflation, quality, delivery, cash, and innovation
• Responsible for commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
• 8 to 12 year's experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and/or materials management experience in stamping, plastics category management is preferred
• Demonstrated supply management skills - supplier negotiations, supplier performance management, supplier relationship management, etc.
• Analytical and innovative thinking skills, as well as quick and effective problem solving
• Ability to travel up to 30% of time
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic thought, and initiative; Results-oriented
• Willingness to learn and high motivation to work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong at taking initiatives and thinking 'out of the box'
• Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• English language fluency
