Our Chief Data Office also known as our Enterprise Data Solutions team (EDS) is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model – disrupting the insurance market.

This role is part of the Data Remediation team , which’s responsibility is to support Party Creations, Party Verifications, Name Clearance, Remediation and Party Data Quality. The process comprises of three different wings which are segregated into Insurance Party Operations, Reinsurance Party Operations and Continuous Improvement Team. While being part of the remediation team, in this role, you will additionally focus on supporting Production Management efforts.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Provide responsive stakeholder care. Respond to calls, emails and requests promptly and effectively. Provide support, consultation and problem resolution.
  • Analyze stakeholder work orders and data files. Create internal project orders detailing the processes that need to be performed to achieve the stakeholders’ desired results. Process their data through required steps, utilizing specialized applications for Database analysis. Create any required reports or processes, as well as quality control
  • Ensure complete adherence to defined Service Level Agreements – productivity, turn-around-time, and accuracy
  • Functional interpretation, maintenance of data, data accuracy, performing and reporting on periodic audits and data integrity checks
  • Root Cause analysis of data errors and resolution specific to critical internal and external data
  • Ensure data in key systems maintained to highest standards
  • Review data inputting and processes to ensure data quality, consistency and timeliness. Provide analysis and integrated solutions to eliminate reoccurring data issues
  • Improves processes and controls for future data remediation
  • Document deterioration issues and performance for further analysis
  • Participate in conference calls to identify and address issues in a timely manner to meet stakeholder’s expectations
  • Identify improvement opportunities to support Quality Engineering, Data Governance, Data Quality, and, other teams to promote data as an asset. Collaborate with the Operations teams to target the source of the risk and make recommendations for remediation
  • Expand working knowledge of insurance domain and product expertise across multiple regions to support global expansion across various functions.
  • Work with business partners, stakeholders and IT Development to implement timely remediation recommendations
  • Work with Management Information team members to ensure any identified data gaps and incidents are appropriately escalated, logged and analysed to determine root cause(s)
  • Monthly reporting on managing data to ensure the data is appropriate in terms of quality and volumes.
  • Understands the flow of data between dependant systems can take control of this functional area on an enterprise level

You will report to CoE Lead for Data Remediation.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • A minimum of an Undergraduate University Degree in Computer Science
  • 6+ years experience in technical customer support/ data role (analytics, specialist or engineer) supporting at least one specialty area of Data Management
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and able to handle different types of user inquiries.
  • Exercises judgement for decision making on complex issues that impact the department
  • Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services
  • Possesses skills and awareness and consistent basic project management, analytical and application skills
  • Consistently determines and executes basic research and/or referrals independently
  • Demonstrates level of experience/ability to influence, understand business problems in technical terminology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely strong interpersonal skills and relationship building and able to liaise with staff at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications and documentation for data systems
  • Additional certifications such as ITIL, AGILE, PMP etc
