ROLE DESCRIPTION
The USP (Upstream Processing) Associate Scientist is responsible to plan, prepare and execute bioreactor and cell culture experiments.
Additionally, he/she will support the Scientist Supervisor in different activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare and execute bioreactor and cell culture experiments
- Support the Scientist Supervisor and Lab Head
- Analyze results and basic reporting
- Ownership of some of the process equipment in the lab
- Troubleshooting
- Calibration and maintenance (if needed) and keeping all documentation up-to-date
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal systems and working processes
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/ HLO or MLO (+4 years)
- Experience in biotechnology or pharma industry
- Hands-on experience with bioreactors (preferably at lab-scale in an R&D environment)
- Experience with culturing mammalian cells
- Working knowledge in GMP
- Proficient English

- Training is provided by J&J
- Type of contract: temporary to become permanent
- Duration: 1 year (+ perm employment afterwards)
