Assistant Manager, MI Team (fixed term 15 months)
Delegated Authority CoE function exists to support delegated authority arrangements within AXA XL . MI Team is responsible for the efficient reporting, MI and data presentations to our stakeholders. In this capacity you will, be comfortable immersing yourself in the detail, provide support and guidance to the team, ensure their work consistently meets pre-defined SLA’s and is completed to a high standard.
What will the key responsibilities of the Assistant Manager be?
- Assessing feasibility of deliverables and timelines, risk assessment and mitigation
- Adopting innovative approaches to problem solving
- Driving process and operating efficiencies through continuous improvement
- Providing senior management support where required; including creating and maintaining comprehensive reports & documentation
- Design & measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques (SLA’s/ KPI’s)
- Creating fluid work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Managing the performance of a team. Support and cover for the MOD and onshore managers as part of the COE leadership team.
- Helping the Head of ESS DA build a winning culture to ensure the ESS DA CoE performs at optimum levels

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Previous experience managing teams is essential
- Track record of identifying and analysing problems, identifying & evaluating options, deploying sound decision making skills.
- Solid technical background (SQL and power BI skills )
- Demonstrable evidence of interpreting & manipulating data clearly and accurately with the ability to extract & clearly articulate key points
- Excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company
- Strong results-orientation and sense of urgency; willingness to be hands-on with a "can-do, will-do" attitude
- Ability to understand data models and data warehouses
