Application Support Engineer
Job Overview:
• We believe that our Central Clearing service will be a vital client service within our Global Markets business.
• Our Central Clearing service is part of our Prime Services business. We anticipate that as the new OTC derivatives regulation comes into effect globally this service will become one of our core strategic products. The underlying demands of Clearing Houses are onerous for almost all users of OTC derivatives. We believe the our bank is to offer our clients a flexible service, tailored to specific needs, allowing them to access Clearing Houses easily and cost-effectively.
• The project as its whole involves integration with existing systems and the greenfield build out of systems for the OTC Client Clearing business including client front ends, billing, intra day risk, exchange connectivity.
Requirements:
• Preferred Relevant Experience: 2+ yrs in Application Support /System Administration.
• Fluent with at least one scripting language (Perl, Python).
• General knowledge of Unix environments and transfer protocols (ftp, sftp,http etc..).
• Exposure to Source Control and CI/CD systems.
• Relational Database knowledge.
• Essential Skills and Competencies:
• Experienced Support Analyst with a ‘Service’ orientated attitude.
• Proven track record of driving implementation process.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience of working with SQL.
• Understanding of complex infrastructure.
