Accounting Supervisor
Role of that person is to manage general accounting of the EMEA Service Center and to work with corporate services (Tax, Treasury, Legal). Accounting Supervisor will be also in close relation with the Luxembourg entities that require some controlling activities. Hired person would possibly expands his/her scope to other EMEA activities and projects on an ad-hoc basis and manage other countries.

Our Client is an international company with many years of success history in automotive sector. They are well known for their R&D activities that has an impact worldwide. For couple of years they conduct EMEA Shared Service Center located in Kraków that is a workplace for the Accounting Supervisor. That's an unusual position because in 35% the position is involved in Luxembourg Finance Controlling activities.
Description
- Instruct and supervise booking activities according to monthly closing calendar;
- Controlling of Site Accounting and all Luxembourg trial balances as well as two other small EMEA TB;
- Identify wastes and optimize processes;
- Support the Luxembourg Controller on US tax accounting activities by providing the accounting/transactions support;
- Assist with statutory financial statements (and quarterly interim financial statements);
- Assist the Country Controller (or supervise preparation of) US GAAP to Local GAAP bridge;
- Assist with legal to document the annual approval of statutory financial statements.
Profile
- Degree in Finance/Accounting, as preferred;
- Around 5 years of progressive accounting experience;
- Professional accounting certification or working towards one;
- Knowledge of US GAAP;
- Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO/MM/SD);
- Fluent in English;
- Experience in leading change management and delivering continuous improvement.
