For our Client, the international fashion house and luxury retail company, we are looking for educated, experienced and motivated Candidate to join the organization on the position of Accounting Manager.
The job of the Accounting Manager will include the external financial reporting which means financial statements preparation according to Polish GAAP and IFRS as well as internal financial reporting: monthly closing for group reporting purposes (IFRS) accounting and reports/information required by corporate rules following the related deadlines to be used by the Financial Controller and CFO. You will be also dedicated to preparation of VAT tax return, GUS, NBP and KRS reports, as well as preparation of reports according to agreements with banks. A part of your job will be maintaining the contact with other institutions, especially cooperation with auditors (meetings, preparation of documents required), lawyers (inquiries related to any new agreements), tax advisors in specified tax areas and tax office (analyzing and answering questions from tax office). You will be also responsible for supporting the business by answering the inquiries about invoicing and tax/accounting issues resulting from new agreements, approving the invoices and new agreements and sharing technical knowledge and support in problem solving. You will have control over accruals and ongoing supervision of current booking transactions, review the general ledger on a monthly basis. As a Accounting Manager you will take the responsibility for timely reconciliation with the Group, bank statements, AP, AR, sales and systems as well as Fixed Asset (Inventory, Fixed Assets, etc.) booking and monitoring. You will also take care of timely and accurate payments, including payments to employees and taxes to the state budget. You will be the key point of contact for stores staff for cash inventory and expense reports and support EE Logistic manager to control stock inventories and staff sales. We need you also take leading role and ensure proper implementation of systems in accounting area.
To be successful in this role you will have to have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience on independent accounting positions (Senior/Independent Accountant) in multinational company – experience in retail/distribution companies is a MUST, Master Degree in Finance, ACCA/CIMA certificate (preferably) and fluent Polish and English (Russian would be an advantage). It is necessary for you to have very good knowledge of Polish GAAPs, IFRS and taxes (mainly VAT). What is crucial for the position is the ability to handle independently the variety of complex tasks and to work under pressure in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment. If you are able to understand the business and their key drivers of success, this position is for you! We need the Candidate to relate to others with candor, openness and transparency as well as to build trust across all the organization members. We need you also to have professional expertise in Excel. The SAP knowledge will be the strong asset. We would like you to present strong communicational skills, ability to efficiently communicate with different levels of correspondents and to be autonomous, curious, proactive, self-motivated and stress-resistant. Candidates with experience from international accounting offices and dealing with clients from Retail industry are highly welcomed.
