Accountant with Slovenian Language / Księgowy z językiem słoweńskim

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Posting of incoming supplier invoices including intercompany.
  • Proceeding with payments for suppliers.
  • Maintaining vendor master data.
  • Posting of bank statements.
  • Resolving unallocated payment items.
  • Managing and reconciling of customer accounts.
  • Supporting handling of customer disputes.
  • Executing dunning and collection procedures.
  • Performing daily activities related to fixed asset creation, maintenance and reporting.
  • Postings of manual journal vouchers transactions.
  • Performing GL accounts reconciliations.
  • Conducting (period end) processing and reporting, i.e. accounts reconciliation, including intercompany, reconciliation of subledger to general ledger.
  • Acting as a contact person for key internal and external stakeholders for operational topics.
  • Ensuring executing the activities in compliance with policies, procedures and J-SOX controls.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives as required.
  • Other activities as delegated by the superior.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under time pressures.

Professional Competencies:

  • Experience in working in a financial environment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external business center customers in an effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Economics or Business related studies.
  • Professional certification such as a CPA or a CMA would be an advantage.
  • Typically 2-4 year experience in Finance processes.
  • Fluent business English (oral and written skills).
  • Very good Slovenian language skills.
  • Experience in working with core financial processes, within a complex, large volume environment.
