Windows Administrator
Location: remote work
Job type: B2B contract (via HAYS)
Responsibilities:
- Build and configuration of servers to the MPC standard configuration
- Provide support, administration and maintenance for company standard Windows server deployment in the MPC
- Provide 3rd line Windows technical support as needed
- Ensure standard tooling/monitoring/backups are set up as required
- Re-configure, re-size and expand servers on ad-hoc basis
- Implement changes to servers with minimal impact to the business by following enterprise standards and procedures
- Understand and comply with any audit requirements (SOX, PII etc)
- Ensure non-standard variations to servers are documented
- Support decommissioning of servers in existing company data centres
- Understand technical/business requirements gathered from the business units
- Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers
- Determine support and operating models for new application/services
- Assist with operational support teams, Global Service Desk and vendor server onboarding
- Provide out-of-hours support during migration evenings or weekends
- Provide guidance to other systems administrators
- Assist with DR aspects of MPC services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of strong Windows Server implementation, troubleshooting and support (2008, 2012, and 2016)
- Working experience with Active Directory
- Administration or implementation in on-premise private cloud technologies
- Experience with administration or implementation in public cloud technologies an advantage
- 1+ years of VMware administration
- MBSS (Minimum Build Security Standards) knowledge
