HRO Personnel is a Human Resources service provider operating under number 6696. We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
A Web Development Lead (WDL) will be a technical expert who provides leadership in design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, web-based solutions and services while managing a team of functional reports through the life cycle of the project.
The WDL will provide solutions to technical issues, and is responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements.
The WDL will work closely with web developers, technical consultants and Digital Publishing Delivery (DPD) Management to come up with 'Best Practice' design solutions.
Main Duties:
- Produce work that is in accordance with department guidelines, compliance regulations, policies and procedures regarding content and design, and industry best practices by understanding and applying them correctly, reviewing their work and collaborating with colleagues and seeking advice from team leaders as necessary
- Ensure a high quality of work by consistently taking responsibility for one's own work, reviewing it against quality standards, and consistently seeking to achieve zero quality errors
- Integrate web UI code (HTML/CSS/JS) to .NET based enterprise content management systems in an efficient, user friendly manner
- Produce and understands standards compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript code
- Maintain proficiency in current versions of software used within company required performing duties and seeking written certification of proficiency from line manager on least an annual basis
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education - either at the degree level or a relevant professional diploma or certificate
- Experience in a project management role, Technical lead possibly in a web development, software development environment
- Experience in back-end web development, preferably ASP.NET development in C#
- Knowledge of standards-based HTML and XHTML, CSS and JavaScript; should be able to code by hand without the assistance of development editors which provide code-hinting
- Sound understanding of Object Oriented concept, hands on experience with MS SQL Server, IIS
- Sound understanding of AJAX for both asynchronous data transfer and interactive
- Online content management experience essential; knowledge of Group content management systems (Sitecore, SiaB, GCMS, BDE) is a bonus
- Expertise with cross-browser, cross-platform development practices
