THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Netherlands.
The company is a multinational with multiple plants located in Europe. This company is growing fast, innovative and one of the marketplayers in it's segment.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Value Engineering Director you are the key-role in translating goals, focused on cost reduction, into concrete and specific projects at all the plants in Europe. You have a strong focus on cost reduction by analyzing the processes, matching factories, focus on the products and it's raw materials, supporting purchasing and trouble shooting.
For this role you are responsible for controlling the European market on cost reduction, coaching your team with a total of +/-30FTE. You work closely together with Manufacturing, Marketing and R&D. Therefore I'm looking for someone who is ambitious, a self starter, has strong communication skills and know how to be persuasive to achieve the goals. Also having a strong manufacturing background is required, financial knowledge and a proven record of cost reduction.
For this international role, you will be traveling 40% of the time within Europe. So you are flexible with traveling and are located near one of the plants of this company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Focus on cost reduction
-Analyzing production and supply chain processes
-Setting up new projects
-Visiting the plants, located in Europe, on regular base
-Supporting purchasing
-Trouble Shooting
-Working closely together with Manufacturing, Marketing and R&D
-Coaching your team of directly 5FTE, indirectly 25FTE
REQUIREMENTS
-Flexible with traveling, willing to travel 40% of the time
-Strong background in Manufacturing (+7 years)
-Recent experience in the Food Industry is a requirement
-Strong communication and presentation skills
-Degree in the Life Sciences
-Proven record of financial skills (cost reduction)
-Qualification in Lean is highly preferred
-Fluently English
-International experience
