Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Netherlands.
The company is an international operating company with multiple sites across Europe. Furthermore, the company is not only one of the market leaders in its' segment, but also innovative and fast growing.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Director of Value Engineering you hold a key-role within the organization where you will be focusing on translating cost reduction and cost saving goals into specific projects and actions for all the various plants across Europe. Therefore, you have a strong focus on analyzing current processes, matching and comparing factories as well as on the actual products, its' raw materials, purchasing and trouble shooting.
In addition to this you will be leading an international team of around 30 FTE. Furthermore, you will be working closely together with various departments such as Manufacturing, R&D and Marketing.
In the end our client is looking for an experienced and ambitious manufacturing professional with strong communication skills and has the willingness to travel around 40% of the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Focus on cost reduction
Analyzing production and supply chain processes
Coaching an international team of 5 people directly and 25 indirectly
Visiting plants across Europe
Supporting purchasing
Trouble shooting
Working closely together with other departments, such as Manufacturing, R&D and Marketing
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Life Sciences
Experience with Research & Development
Willingness to travel 40% of the time across Europe
Recent experience within the (international) Food Industry
Multiple years of experience within Manufacturing (7-10 years)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English is a must
