Unix Specialist with German – intermediate level
Location: WrocławAre you a UNIX professional and have work experience in IT area?

Typical activities:
- modifying operating system configuration and maintaining server services
- installing and supporting server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities
- managing file systems and system resources
- analyzing and maintaining operating system log files
- applying operating system patches
- recommending operating system updates and configuration modifications
- problems investigation
- cooperation with other technical and non-technical teams
- other activities
Required:
- knowledge of German language – intermediate level
- very good Linux skills (Red Hat or SLES preferred) or AIX server administration knowledge (including remote OS installation, updates/upgrades, configuration, patching, utilities, shell scripting, LVM & RAID configuration, networking, multipathing, monitoring/system logs, user management, diagnosing software & hardware issues)
- very good general IT skills (TCP/IP networks, bash, perl scripting, X86 or PowerPC hardware platform/virtualization)
- quick & flawless problem resolution under time pressure
- 1 year of work experience on similar position
- readiness to develop new skills and qualifications
- good communication and team-working skills
Nice to have:
- knowledge of German language – advanced level
- basic knowledge of at least one other UNIX system (AIX/Solaris/HP UX)
- skills in high availability cluster solutions, SAN (components & OS side configuration), virtualization solutions, knowledge of large scale UNIX systems management would be an advantage
- skills in basic database/middleware/application administration/OS side dependencies
