Currently, we are looking for UNIX/LINUX Support/ Administrator who will carry out a project for our Client - one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, providing a comprehensive range of financial services to around 60 million customers.
Main tasks:
- Providing full scope of the day to day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities,
- Providing technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems,
- Installation of new software releases provided by the vendor,
- Implementation of the locally developed solutions (Script Shell, Java, bash, perl),
- Support of the various testing activities related to the new implementations.
Requirements:
- Advanced Unix/Linux system administration skills (commands, shell scripting, vi editor) supported by at least 3 years experience,
- Strong experience in supporting complex and integrated application environments,
- Knowledge of Linux and Bash is must,
- Experience with Oracle Database,
- Experience with highly complex system implementations and organizational processes,
- Strong communication and negotiation skills,
- Good problem solving and analytical skills,
- Ablility to work under time pressure, and to multitask,
- Availability to work shifts and on-call,
- Fluency in English,
- Experience in banking, especially in Payments is an advantage,
