Unix/IT Specialist- Aplication Administrator
Location: WrocławJob description
IT Specialist in this role is responsible for
- Managing between 1 and 5 technical projects at the same time
- Install an application environment according to provided guidance
- Ensure that applications are fully prepared and integrated to be put to production (backups, start/stop scripts, documentation, etc)
Main tasks at these positions are
- Interact and communicate with customer development teams and IBM different services (Project Manager, Department Manager, IT Specialist, IT Architect)
- Installation and configuration of various applications
- Work with different IBM technical teams to implement a solution, solve problem, share knowledge about a specific component require for an application, coordinate technical task and actions between different teams
- Support the customer during tests
Candidate will gain opportunity to work with various environments such as: webshpere, hyperion, cognos, etc..., as well as databases and operating systems such as Unix and Windows
Required experience:
- At least 2+ year relevant IT experience
Technical/Professional expertise in one of the following areas:
- Windows confirmed
- Unix confirmed (Aix and/or HP)
- Linux (optional)
Good to know:
- Scheduler (as Maestro or $Univer),
- Flows product management (as Pelican),
- Webshpere 6&7 application installation and configuration,
- Backup product basics (as TSM),
- Databases basics (as Oracle, DB2)
- SQL script (optional),
- Scripting skills
Other skills:
- technical troubleshooting management ability,
- Team working,
- Ability to work alone and to take initiatives,
- Good communication skills.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Information Technology
