Your new role:
- To properly manage and control logistic service provider
- To standardisation of all logistics processes
- Ensuring that labour, maintenance and administration costs and process / procedures are managed and controlled to budget
- Create transport budget in conjunction with the finance department and hit targets set.
- Management of all resources to ensure customer service levels are maintained and continuously reviewed.
- Receive, issue and store all materials/documents in a safe, accurate and orderly manner.
- Periodic review and reporting of agreed KPIs, with corrective action planning.
- Schedule periodic reviews and feedback to direct report in such a way that it becomes a management tool and source for continuous improvement of processes (despatch planning, warehousing, stock accuracy, transport management and pallet management).
- Align with other transport managers in the group on best practice; share and adopt.
- Initiate and contribute to capital expenditure projects.
- Participate and contribute to new the set-up and removal of work flows and changes to the business
- Achieve all targets in line with contracts and corporate strategy wherever possible.
- Effective use and control of the SAP system including the provision of access and training to relevant employees to ensure the system provides accurate management information.
- Ensure that accident and incident investigations are completed and that any recommendations are implemented and fully briefed.
- Help to deliver cross functional targets.
- Manage people and systems to create a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure training, coaching and development opportunities are available to all employees.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3-4 years working experience in the field of Logistic/Transport/ Warehouse
- Fluent speaker of English.
- Excellent Managerial and leadership skills;
- Organisational and time management skills;
- Knowledge of warehouse and transport;
- Thorough knowledge of preferred routes and heavy traffic patterns;
- Positive, enthusiastic, dynamic and open-minded personality;
- Ability to understand client's and drivers needs and present solutions;
- Professional with high-energy and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Self-starter with high potential for personal and professional development.
