Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Netherlands.
The company of our client produces serious amounts of vegetables. Making their work environment challenging and demanding, even more so rewarding. The R&D department has specialized in several vegetables of which one of them is tomatoes. This organization understands that taste and quality is recognized by the people that eat these healthy vegetables.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will be the tomato breeding specialist in this organization. Having experience with these kind of vegetables is required to perform at the level the company is maintaining. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the other breeders and assistant breeder to work on knowledge sharing and breeding result to keep a competitive edge for the future. This is also reached through technological developments by the company, thus the required resources are made available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop new species and manage/enhance existing crop programs
• Analyze and process data of yearly production reports to enhance future breeding programs
• Identify trends and apply outcomes
• Continue to improve on crop process and productivity
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc/PhD in agricultural related fields or equivalent working experience
• Ranging from 3-5 years of work experience in a commercial/research environment
• Advanced breeding knowledge with solanaceae related crops
• Fluent in English is a must
• Independent attitude and communicative/open personality
