THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Chemicals and Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.
This client operates in the Chemicals industry, producing oils and fats for a.o the leather industry. Currently, their R&D team is without leadership, so they are looking for someone to scientifically level with and lead the department of 10.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a leadership project, to temporarily (6 to 12 months) lead the R&D team toward reaching their set goals. Sustainability and innovation toward the leather industry are key. Your task is to make sure the 2020 targets are taken seriously and that the team works to reach them, taking responsibility on a personal level. You continue team-building and make a cohesive unit out of the group. For this, you advise in hiring and firing of staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ leading the team of 10 FTE of Chemical technicians
▪ advising in hiring and firing decisions
▪ leading the team toward 2020 targets
▪ teambuilding toward innovation and growth
▪ ensuring SMART personal objectives
▪ close cooperation with HR
REQUIREMENTS
▪ MSc in Chemistry or similar
▪ extensive experience in R&D
▪ extensive experience in leading teams
▪ strong personality
▪ experience with cross-functional teams and cooperation
▪ strongly preferred: HR experience with hiring/firing
