Scope
The primary role of the Technical Analyst in E-Commerce Applications is to provide technical expertise within the GCC for the supported products – specifically responsible for overall active management of the E-Commerce environments and significant contribution to planning & design of this architecture. As an experienced member of the team, this role carries the responsibility for providing quality and accuracy for technical requirements of entire lifecycle for new products, changes and new projects. Additionally,
- To manage the on-going relationship with the development, test and production support groups in terms of technical strategy and support,
- Directly working on the optimisation and maintenance of our production release cycles based around the usage of Beta 48 tool and the defined system and network monitoring tools,
- Directly working on the optimisation and maintenance of all environments in E-Commerce.
Key Responsibilities/accountabilities
- Assist with defining future and optimizing current GCC technical strategy in line with technical architecture and security group policies
- Contributing to aims and goals of GCC and team
- Technical environment management
- Adherence to UBIS and Bank processes, policies and compliance rules
- Knowledge of products and key technologies including Apama, Caplin, Reuters, SmartTrade, LD4 and other low latency and messaging technologies is a distinct advantage
- Trouble-shooting and improving the production environment in order to minimize and remove Risk
- Co-ordination with core infrastructure teams in terms of networks, servers and user access
- Planning and delivery of above, continuous improvements to the E-Commerce environments in relation to the key responsibilities as defined
Requirements
- Strong experience in FX trading
- Knowledge of the front to back IT architecture for global markets
- eTrading systems; high-frequency / low–latency environments; messaging communication and technology; front office IT architectures; technical analysis
- Experience of incident management and reporting activities
- Ability to define and implement IT guidelines to run eTrading production environments in line with industry standards, regulatory requirements and operational excellence requirements
- Technical documentation of systems architectures, environments and security concepts
- Project reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office package, particularly Word and Excel
- Meticulous attention to detail with an understanding of the vital importance of clear communication and processes
- Tenacity and rigor required to drill down and understand complex issues, identifying key items requiring attention and summarize verbally / on paper to colleagues, including management
- Ability to organize and prioritise own workload utilising readily transparent, structured methods, whilst also being a team player
