For our client, global leader in logistics, we are seeking a Leader for Accounting - Accounts Payables in the new Knowledge Center based in Gdańsk
The role of the Leader Accounts Payable is to provide day-to-day operational support and management to the team of Accounts Payable Specialists and respond to financial function queries.
You will provide leadership, expertise and advice to the AP team to enable them to deliver to a consistently high standard of key financial activities within the AP function.
What is more, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and leading an accounts payables work team (8 accountants)
- Facilitating the transfer of AP activities into the Knowledge Centre
- Acting as a role model and providing support, inspiration and guidance for Team Members
- Evaluating of performance and setting up targets for Team Members
- Focusing on standardization and harmonization of AP processes
- Defining tasks to ensure delivery of services to assigned business partners in accordance with service level agreements
In order to be successful at the position, you need to:
- Have university degree (preferably Finance, Accounting or other relevant degree)
- Be fluent in English (German skills will be an asset)
- Experience in shared service centre environment
- Previous team leading experience - Good management skills
- Willingness to occasional travels to Germany
