Your new role
Leads the Billing personnel in the UK&Ireland.
Drives collection activity against predefined targets linking closely across all End markets to balance performance
Interacts with End Market personnel regarding matters related to billing activity to maximise performance.
Executes standard processes across all locations and ensures consistent performance.
Manages Billing Team resource including periods of planned and unplanned leave.
Motivates and appraises Billing Team including target and goal setting.
Implements career development to Billing Teams including both internal and external CPD.
Participates as a member of the UK& Ireland Billing strategy team and works with the Head of Billing to implement strategies and drive objectives for the UK Ireland GBS billing organisation.
Promotes and implements an environment that maximises productivity and service effectiveness, professional development, open communication and teamwork.
Assists the Head of Billing in the delivery of the team’s results in alignment with UK Ireland’s financial targets.
Ensures full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
Drive a reduction in the levels of unbilled debt.
Deal with Internal & External Auditors
Detailed knowledge of VAT legislation and how it applies to the different job types
Travel across different offices across the country to ensure consistency across offices
What you'll need to succeed
More than 5 years relevant work experienceand more than 2 years managing a large team (6+ people) in a finance environment
Ability to actively engage stakeholders, clients and staff to ensure processes are implemented and executed consistently
Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce and work with remote teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to deliver to tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system preferably but not essential
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Sarbanes Oxley experience mandatory
