Tax Content Development Manager

On behalf of our Client, we are currently looking for candidates who will hold the position of a Tax Development Manager. Tax & Accounting business of the client is the leading provider of technology and information solutions, as well as integrated tax compliance software and services to accounting, tax and corporate finance professionals in accounting firms, corporations, law firms and government. As a Tax Content Development Manager, you will be part of the new Global Compliance and Reporting development hub, developing and maintaining global tax compliance modules.
The immediate role is focused on establishing a presence in Poland for corporate tax offering, but it is envisaged that the team will grow to provide support for complementary offerings on indirect tax and statutory accounts.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing development and maintenance of tax compliance templates in the global tax platform. You will be working in partnership with country content owners and product specialists in the UK and Australia, and working with Quality Assurance functions in India.
- Establishing and managing the development team. Responsible for people management, supporting and managing the career development of the team via objective setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
- Working with country leads on agreeing timelines, managing scope, defining requirements, best practice and design, and implementation Allocating and scheduling resources in line with the overall team, resolving conflict and prioritizing projects to meet the needs of the business
Requirements:
- Experienced tax professional of around 8 years (with 3 years supervisory experience) with practical experience in tax compliance, ideally across more than one country. Alternatively experience in tax configuration of ERP systems or tax technology systems
- Exposure to tax compliance in one of the following countries would provide a distinct advantage: UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany.
- Strong project management skills with experience in working with international teams
- Experienced people manager who can provide leadership and direction
- Fluent English, knowledge of other languages, particularly French, Spanish, German or Italian, would be an advantage
- Interested in technology with a demonstrable knowledge of software systems, in particular good working experience in Excel
- Experience in producing complex calculations or models in Excel would be an advantage and good demonstrations of strong excel skills
- Organised and methodical approach to work, especially attention to detail
- Professional Tax or Accountancy qualification
