System Engineer / Linux administrator
Location: Ostrawa, CzechyWe are extending our team dealing with applications' problems. You will be working with the cutting-edge technologies and participate on interesting projects covering many IT technological areas and world ́s best known clients from various segment of market.
We are looking for specialists with knowledge of Linux, Unix or AIX and Oracle/MYSQL databases who are eager to take on new challenge, learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Upkeep of customer’s applications
- Understanding relations and integrations between applications infrastructure and external systems
- Monitoring from different perspectives
- Application installations and upgrading
- Analyzing and solving complex problems in multiplatform integrated system
- Keeping the whole service up and running
- Direct communication with technical specialists on customer’s side, communication with vendors and internal specialists
Requirements:
- Linux / UNIX skills on advanced level with experience in administration
- Enterprise application environment principals understanding (experience with any application servers)
- Database knowledge on basic level for some of these databases DB2, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL
- Ability to understand root causes of complex problems going through all levels of applications (Performance measurement, resolve issues, see consequences of reported troubles)
- Advanced English
- Monitoring setup understanding, ability to set correct items for monitoring service to specific cases
- Skills working with ITIL environment welcomed (Automatic monitoring / events / tickets /processes)
- Nice to have: knowledge of or experience with Weblogic application server
