THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.

This company discovers, develops and produces new innovative human therapeutics that improve the life expectancy of humanity.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be the single point of contact for the site on all trade compliance matters for the Turkey, Middle East, Africa Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provide backup trade compliance support for the Europe Region as needed.
•Provide guidance to company employees on import/export compliance issues
•Monitor Customs Community Directives and biopharmaceutical regulations, aligning business process to comply with changing requirements
•Interface with government authorities as required
•Partner internally and externally to manage inbound/outbound shipments by liaising with internal and external requestors (Amgen transportation and logistics, carriers, brokers, and government agencies) •Provide oversight and performance management of outsourced brokerage services
•Coordinate and advise on contract terms and conditions, Incoterms and analysis of trade lanes •Respond to requests submitted to global import/export mailbox
•Provide compliance training to functional teams
•Conduct targeted risk assessments of business units and functional groups and/or assist with formal audits and transaction testing
•Prepare and review shipping documentation and customs invoices for accuracy including valuation, HS classification, and country of origin determination
•Provide support for regional export and import license application processes
•Provide key transactional performance metrics on a regular basis and actively identify opportunities for improvement.
•Conduct restricted party screenings of business partners and end users, document screening results and manage approval/denial status within centralized repository (SAP GTS)

REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customs & Trade
•5-8 years of demonstrated experience in trade compliance management (including export control)
•Versed in key import processes including valuation, HS classification, country of origin determination
•Versed in key export processes including a basic knowledge on the interpretation and application of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other export laws
•Awareness of industry trends and developments in biopharmaceutical import/export compliance and
relationships with industry peers for benchmarking and to share best practices
•Excellent executive presentation skills
•Knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and GDP requirements
•Self-starter with the ability to take on several projects at one time
•Strong computer skills (SAP GTS experience and MS Office)
•Excellent communication and influencing skills
•Mastery in English language (verbal and written)
•Excellent internal and external relationship management skills
