THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.

This medical organization supplies developing countries of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies all over the world. It works in partnership with Global HealthCare and humanity organizations. For a new programme a new team is formed to:
1. Procure commodities and logistics on a global scale
2. Strengthen systems to support local Supply Chain Management
3. Collaborate via strategic engag

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain Analyst reports directly to the Programme Manager and collabotates with the Logistics Coordinators, Procurement Services, Tender Services, QA, IT, and a Pharmacist. This person will be responsible for a reliable and constant flow of medicines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identify production delays in collaboration with buyers and supplier relationship manager
- Identify disruption of raw material and component supplies through market intelligence and in collaboration with QA/QC specialist(s) about raw material suppliers, liaise with buyers and supplier relationship manager in collecting information and translating into supply chain barriers
- Identify problems with manufacturing capacity - liaise with buyers and supplier relationship manager
- Extreme changes in supply or demand of products - liaise with Task Order Manager and planners in the project
- Long lead times - liaise with buyers and supplier relationship manager, continuous measurement of analyses of lead times of commodities involved
- Theft - liaise with logistics provider (K&N) and identify potential risks during the supply chain which might affect any future production plans in case goods need to be replaced
- Reduced accuracy of forecasting and planning - liaise with Task Order Manager and planners in the project
- Registration and customs delays - liaise with buyers for registration and logistics provider (K&N) for possible customs delays.
- He/she will support development of supplier risk strategies that helps mitigate risks to the continuous flow of commodities to customers.
- He/she will also support the development of product risk profiles (cold chain, dangerous, etc.)
- He/she will support continuous monitoring of potential problems affecting the supply of health commodities, proactively communicate the risks posed by the problems, and propose solutions that address the problems.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a highly regulated industry like Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices or Food
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain in an international environment
- Experience working with various cultures
- Strong knowledge of MS office applications, especially excel
- English fluency required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Customer oriented and result driven
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to organize the workload and priorities
- Eye for detail, accuracy
- Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgement, and respect for others
- Perseverance and resilience
