For our Client, an international company from FMCG industry, located in Nowa Sól, we are currently seeking to recruit an ambitious and experienced talent to join its team of professionals as a Supplier Development Manager.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and managing the Supplier Development Specialist, the Supplier Development Manager will be accountable mainly for developing new suppliers across new Low Cost Regions, studying the supply base and analysing the need of process development and investment at supplier end. That person will be in charge of selecting and working with suppliers in terms of meeting technical and quality standards, complying with CSR policy as well as reducing costs. What is more, he/she will be responsible for developing and executing category source plans, identifying and executing cost improvement opportunities and supporting process of New Product Development. The scope of duties will also include cooperation with other companies from the Group in order to build scale effect and/or gain added value.
To be successful in this role you should have at least 3 -5 years of experience on a similar position in Procurement or Technical Department and educational background in Economics and/or Engineering and/or Food Technology. A good candidate would also have a real experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Relationship Management and Category Management. Leadership experience is also required as well as a fluent command of English. Our Client is seeking a person who is honest, passionate about people and displays an analytical thinking. He/she should value teamwork and co-operation, be result-oriented and well organized. The perfect candidate must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as developed capability to take Initiatives. What is more, he/she should be open for overseas business trips and willing to travel up to 30-50% of the time.
