Storage Administrator
Location: WarsawIT infrastructure service for one of the world biggest and leading financial group. Successful candidate will help our client with BAU and Project activities, working as Storage Administrator in cooperate with Application Technology & Infrastructure teams to build and support complex IT infrastructure .
Implementing best technologies and service practices to achieve high availability and performance of related business applications.
Our team primary location is Kiev, working remotely in client environment in close collaboration with customer management, IT OPS and Development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide BAU Storage Administrator duties
Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on data backup and recovery to all regions
Responsible for managing and optimising the enterprise storage infrastructure
Responsible for ensuring all systems are highly available, reliable and performant
Responsible for ensuring all systems are patched to the appropriate levels
Responsible for ensuring sufficient capacity is available to accommodate expected BAU growth
Responsible for maintaining the backup infrastructure for all systems and servers and perform restores as required
Responsible for ensuring appropriate monitoring is configured and working correctly
Responsible for providing appropriate levels of business support to end users and projects
Responsible for automating, simplifying and standardising procedures and systems to reduce cost and improve efficiency
Responsible for ensuring documentation and inventory systems are complete and accurate
Responsible for providing storage services as required
Required to carry out the responsibilities of the role in accordance with company policy/procedures and as directed by line management
SKILLS
MUST
The candidate should have a sound knowledge, supported by relevant experience; of the design, support, and operation, of the following storage technologies:
Essential: Network Attached Storage (NAS) - This must include a subset of: EMC Isilon, EMC VNX (file), EMC Unity (file)
Essential: Storage Area Networks (SAN) - This must include a subset of: EMC XtremIO, EMC Unity, EMC VNX, Cisco MDS Switches
Essential: Unix (Shell/Bash), Windows Server 2012 -2019 (PowerShell will be benefit)
Desirable: Content Addressed Storage (CAS) & Private Cloud - This can include: EMC Centera, EMC ECS
Desirable: Data Backup - This can include: EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain (with ECS cloudtier)
Desirable: Experience with Schedulers (Autosys, Control-m etc) will be benefit
