Responsibilities:
- ensure compliance with US GAAP / Local GAAP requirements / SOX / Tax Compliance
- support of SSC Accounting Team and close contact with Supply Chain Controllers and Business Analysts
- accountable for the preparation of specifications/reconciliations and documentation of all submitted financial data, e.g. the financial statements
- responsible for local statutory and tax requirements according to legally required timelines
- continual improvements of the financial processes
- supporting the execution of the month end closing activities of the entities according to global and regional closing schedule and in line with both US GAAP and internal accounting guide lines
- reviewing and supporting the monthly tax calculations & schedules
- coordination and/or preparation of corrective entries that are needed based on monitoring of the financial results during the month and closing
- supporting the quantitative and qualitative financial analysis of monthly operating results
- liaise with Closing & Reporting team and the Country Accounting teams on preparation and progress of the closing
- identify country specific Legal & Statutory requirements (e.g. content, format, filing due dates, penalties)
- compile Statutory Accounts and Tax Returns (e.g. coordinate completion of Statutory Accounts, prepare Financial Statements, prepare Notes to the Financial Statements, prepare Management Report, file Financial Statements and Tax Returns to local authorities)
- document Year-end Balance Sheet Specifications (reconciliation, G/L account breakdown, supporting documentation)
- contact with external and internal auditors
- identify, valuate and quantify any Internal risks
- ensures SOX compliance for the locations in the country/countries
- participate in special (ad-hoc) projects
- 3-4 years of relevant financial experience in a multinational environment
- good understanding of Local and US GAAP reporting and Tax regulations
- for country of responsibility (especially Poland)
- experience with Internal Controls (SOX)
- professional level of knowledge of modern accounting practices
- willingness to travel (up to 25%)
