Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
This organisation discovers and manufactures therapeutics for serious illnesses all over the world. It strongly focusses on new medicines to improve people’s lives.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Strategic Sourcing Sr. Associate (Noord Brabant, The Netherlands) is responsible for the sourcing processes in lower spend categories. The role will report directly to the Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing. This role will initially be for 6 months on a payroll basis but we are looking for someone who is interested to commit for the long term afterwards.

This role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work closely with lots of different business functions and spend categories in one of the leading Bio Tech companies in the world. He/she will understand how large multi-national companies work and how to work within a matrix corporate environment. The role will ideally suit someone looking for a long term career in Procurement.

Purpose:
- To help execute and implement the sourcing and purchasing needs.
- To execute small scale sourcing projects (eRFX) for categories such as facilities/maintenance/secondary packaging/logistics delivering savings against baseline.
- To ensure compliance with Procurement Process and Systems with all relevant sourcing policies and procedures.
- To implement Sourcing contracts, support contracting activities, managing ongoing contract management needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Context and Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage sourcing activities for assigned responsibilities.
- Review site spend and identify areas of opportunity leading to cost savings.
- Work is guided by operational and project related objectives defined by Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing
- Document (in Ariba) and guide sourcing execution through to implementation.
- Support supplier analysis and market intelligence activities.
- Manage Request for Proposal and Quotation processes (eRFX) for low spend categories.
- Ensure sourcing tactics drive value in specific functional business environments, including legal & regulatory context.
- Support supplier improvement programs within key supplier relationships, together with the business partners.
- Implements new procedures and processes to drive desired results.

Delivering value for customers:
- Understands business goals and customer needs to implements opportunities while providing training and guidance.
- Partners with colleagues in Finance, product development, facilities.
- Support / Manage delivery and validation of savings.

Managing contracts:
- Ensure the organisation’s procurement policies are followed, ensuring that compliance metrics are met or exceeded, supported through preferred supplier contracts: Inform stakeholders on the organisation’s sourcing policies and procedures, providing support and corrective actions where required.
- Implement contracting/contract revisions with suppliers.
- Support ongoing contract management (Renewing and Renegotiating existing and expiring contracts).
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with proven experience strategic sourcing experience (2-5 years) with experience in working in international environments
- Has working knowledge of procurement processes (tendering, supplier negotiations and contracting) within key spend categories
- Ability/desire to grow within the function.
- Exposure to Project Management (Planning, prioritizing and delivery), with experience in working in project teams across functional reporting lines.
- Ability to influence customers and actively shape sourcing outcome to meet customer’s needs
- Good communication skills (presentation, virtual working, etc.) resulting in relationship building and development
- Exposure to Problem solving skills
- Able to work with general direction, ensuring quality of tasks / service provided by self and other
- Exposure to e-procurement tools such as Ariba is a plus.
- Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations using different information sources in order to draw and present analytic insights
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel
- Fluent business English and Dutch, written and oral
