Job specification:
- Ensure quality products are delivered for implementation by testing and verifying product functionality
- Interface with development, product management, and customers to determine business and functional requirements; ensure those requirements are testable
- Analyze and comprehend requirements and design specifications to extract necessary information for accurate test planning
- Lead and participate in the creation of a level of effort for software requests
- Develop and document test plans and test procedures
- Design, create, and execute automated and/or manual test cases
- Document and maintain software revision history
- Conduct software testing, including regression testing of new products/releases
- Lead the debug process with testing and troubleshooting
- Document test results, create metrics, analyze trends, and escalate concerns as necessary
- Identify, design and implement procedures with aim at streamlining and/or improving overall efficiency of the software engineering process
- Identify and communicate design considerations and risk assessments with regards to testing or defects
- Provide technical support/assistance when escalated by operations or other internal groups
- Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of problems
- Configure and maintain the test systems used by the QA department
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in a technical position
• Knowledge of software testing processes and software testing processes, techniques and standards
• Proficient with various Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server experience and experience using Microsoft Test for test planning
• Some knowledge of SQL server and databases
• Experience with test automation using tools such as Selenium and/or Ranorex
• Have an ability to install new software without assistance
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time, make independent decisions and sound judgment
• Computer Science degree
