Our Client is currently looking for Software Engineers in Cracow to join an innovation team focusing on finding opportunities for automation and augmentation of the workflow of technical support engineers and creating new high-value capabilities for the Company’s Customer Experience portfolio of services, including high touch offerings like Business-Critical Services.

 

What You Will Do

• participate in ideation sessions, exploring the best way to implement a particular idea and writing proof-of-concept software. The idea is tested and validated using lean methodologies such as ‘lean startup’. Successful concepts are developed further to the point where it can be transitioned to a production team
• solve some tough engineering problems using some of the latest tools, technologies and approaches
• apply lean startup principles to validate the growth and value potential in all that we do
• leverage cutting edge technologies including (but not only) advanced machine learning to achieve the above goals

• have broad expertise in web technologies, with an emphasis on interactive, real-time experiences and speed of execution
• are passionate about creating delightful user experiences, specializing on both front end and back end
• enjoy taking designs and breathing life into them, working with the colleagues in connecting the front end to RESTful services on the back end
• love writing tests and any other automation hacks to improve efficiency and quality
• enjoy staying on top of fast-moving trends in web development and at the same time implementing state of the art scalable back-end architectures
• possess an inner level of confidence that allows to lead some days and follow others based on what is needed for the desired outcomes
• is an active learner on a journey to solve problems for our customers
• have multiple skills in own toolbox and has the ability to pick the right tool for the right job

 

Essential Skills / Characteristics

• excellent verbal communication skills (English a must)
• technical excellence in Python is required
• proven experience with designing back-end architectures
• an understanding of application performance tuning and resource usage
• working knowledge of networking theory (TCP/IP) or strong desire to learn it
• collaborate with other engineers and people in the organization to improve our solution delivery
• believe in Lean/Agile principles and actively work to incorporate them in the organization
• care about your craft and strive towards producing high-quality code
• a very high degree of autonomy, self-learning and problem solving is expected

 

Additional Desirable Skills

• writing automated tests
• using source code control systems like git
• container technologies like docker
• experience with cloud technologies like kubernetes
• understanding of 12-factor apps design patterns
• other languages such as Javascript and golang
• experience in network troubleshooting
• experience with machine-learning systems including tensorflow, keras, etc.
• business acumen, being able to measure the adoption and impact of a capability
