We are looking forSenior Technical Analyst for our Client - the global service company that provides solutions in the Information&Communication Technology (ICT), Back Office&Middle Office, Real Estate, Security and Global Sourcing areas in order to respond quickly and effectively both to the requests of the market. The client organizes its activities on a structured model organized in business lines and service lines, based on a concept of end-to-end in order to ensure the best service in terms of quality.
Location: Warsaw
The best candidate should have about 5 years of practical experience - C#, WPF, MVVM (Server side programming would be dominant) and Master's Degree of Computer Science/Economics. Very good analytical&team work skills and very good in English (spoken and written) is a must.
An additional advantage will be practical experience .NET, SQL, XML/XSLT, Java (some experience would be very useful), past experience in working in a cross location environment and natural ability&past experience of Team leader.
They have about 500 users as user-base, all internal traders/sales people, spread in 7 countries, they are adding new countries and functionalities with a certain frequency. The application is for the most part mature, there are several in-house solutions that have been developed specifically for it, which make it a bit one of a kind when it comes to maintenance and debugging; what is also lacking is a full-fledged testing framework, on this aspect there has been a lot of effort spent in the past months and something new is going to be rolled out in the near future. Generally the developers have the ownership/responsibilities for one module or functionality within the application.
The new developer, after being introduced to the platform, will assigned simple bug-fixing tasks and minor modifications to existing modules. Once he/she will be confident with the platform he will be assigned a module in his ownership or shared ownership with another developer, the choice will depend on his/her skills and preference. With the proper background and interest could also be involved in the improvement of the new testing framework, in the refactoring of the legacy code, or in the generation and running of test cases. We are hoping for someone who is willing to take over more and more duties on himself, so that we can also shift his duties from the purely programming tasks to more planning/architectural decisions, of course in the mid-long term.
