Senior Structural Engineer (Outfitting Steel)

Global Maritime Poland, based in Gdynia, is looking for a experienced engineer with a background in Structure for a position of Senior Structural Engineer. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of engineering analysis and reviews (e.g. cable lay analysis, structural analysis, etc.) associated with marine operations, design, and marine warranty surveying. The key dimensions of the role include:
- Be a team member of the structural discipline and area multidiscipline teams.
- Perform structural analyses by use of Sesam/StaadPro and hand calculations of steel and aluminum outfitting structures
- Engineering draft check. Write structural design reports. Interface towards other disciplines.
- Fabrication follow-up
- Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
Required qualifications and experience:
- Must have experience from large Norwegian EPC offshore modifications or new build topside projects.
- Experience from structural design according to NORSOK and Eurocode.
- Extended knowledge to Seam or Staad Pro software packages.
- Extended knowledge within topside EPC structural design development, in particular outfitting steel and the corresponding multidiscipline interfaces.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience.
- Higher education Master or Bachelor or other relevant education
- Experience with brown field projects.
- Fluent in English and Polish
